“And I get high with my baby/I just left the mall/I’m getting fly with my baby yeah/and I can ride with baby/I be in the kitchen cooking pies with my baby yeah…”- Fetty Wap
Trap Queen is song that describes Wap’s ideal girlfriend, his Trap Queen. In this song he lets it be known that he and his girl are the modern day Bonnie and Clyde. Wap tells you what it would be like dating him. He says he’ll teach his girl how to make money with him and that whatever happens that he’ll ride for his girl. In so many words Wap makes it obvious that bands, bando’s and his trap queen are some of his prize possessions. In order to be a Trap Queen, one must be able to hood their mate down to the fullest. Wap says that he was dating this chick that held him down when he had nothing
. “We were building a lot and I came up with the concept that she was my trap queen,” said Fetty Wap during an interview with Complex magazine.
Trap Queen is setting the bar for Trap music. This hood anthem is daily motivation for what the streets want in a lady. “Every thug needs a lady,” a Trap Queen that is!
