Notorious B.I.G Among Several Others Inducted Into The 2020 Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame
"I love it when they call me Big Poppa."
The Brooklyn rapper has recently been selected to be apart of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame alongside many other greats like the late Whitney Houston and rock bands like Nine Inch Nails, Depeche Mode, T-Rex, and The Doobie Brothers. The event will be aired live on HBO for the first time 8 p.m. ET. The 35th Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Ceremony will take place in Cleveland, Ohio on May 2 at Public Auditorium. Big's album "Ready To Die" qualified him for the running seeing as how an artist must have had an album released before 1994, meeting the 25-year minimum release date. "Ready To Die" is still one of the most iconic hip hop albums to date.
As mentioned by xxlmag.com, most noted hip hop Rock & Roll Hall of Fame honorees include Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five (2007), Run- DMC (2009), The Beastie Boys (2012), Public Enemy(2013), and LL Cool J (2013). NWA was actually inducted in 2016 and a year later, Tupac Shakur was inducted into the hall as well. We sincerely congratulate Biggie and everyone who genuinely had a hand in helping him get there. He was and will always remain the King of East Coast Rap.
