Tink Releases "F*ck Around" Video Single
Tink is undeniably beautiful and ridiculously talented. She gifted us her new video "F*uck Around" as a Christmas present which of course dropped on December 25. The video appears to take place in the mountains at a cabin. Giving straight "baecation" vibes just from that alone. Then it goes into her and her man playing out some Bonnie and Clyde type of love. Love, love, love it!
Tink, hails from Calumet City, Illinois and has been singing and writing since the age of 12. She was in a dual deal with both Timbaland's label Mosley Music Group and Epic Records for at least four years, as stated by the fader.com. But regardless of her skills for singing, rapping, and songwriting, Tink seemed to not be a priority to the labels. Fader.com states that Tink’s releases have been few and far between: two 2015 singles that were meant to be a part of her delayed debut album, two mixtapes that she financed and released on her own with no label backing or promotion, and a handful of loose tracks and collaborations.At the beginning of 2017, Mosley Music Group, and Tink by extension, severed ties with Epic, who had been distributing Timbaland’s label. Now, after months of negotiations, Mosley Music Group has agreed to release Tink from her contract, a representative from the label confirmed to The FADER. For the first time since she was 18, Tink is a completely independent artist.
Now being an independent artist, Tink is heading full steam ahead onto the path she envisioned for herself. "F*uck Around" is like soul music for the millennials. It's like we got Mary J. Blige, Keyshia Cole, and Tink. The beat rides and the lyrics are as real as real can get. Shoutout Tink, for real for real. Tink posted to her IG that her new album is almost ready!
