Suddenly dropping his surprise mix tape in 2015, “If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late”, instantly turned up the charts, reporting as number one on Billboards Artist 100 for two weeks in a row and placing all 17 songs in the Top 50 of the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart of Billboard. Drake’s song, “Energy” is just one of the tracks that has been a hot topic with hard-hitting lyrics revealing real life situations. “Energy” deals with how people don’t want to see Drake flourish. But despite what he’s been through the 6 God will not give up his throne. He says, “I got enemies, got a lot of enemies. Got a lot of people tryna drain me of my energy. Tryna take the wave from a n**ga. F**king with the kid and pray for your n**ga.” Ha!
