Lil Mama "Sausage"
Hip Hop recording artist Lil Mama has dropped another song with a great beat. “Sausage” is definitely one that will get everyone up on the dance floor. It has the beat and feel of hip hop back in the nineties. Her style and flow are on point in this one. A great thing about “Sausage” is the creative use of other artists lyrics intertwined with Lil Mama’s. She inserts bits of Fetty Waps “Trap Queen”, Chedda the Connect’s “Flick of the Wrist” and Big Sean’s “I don’t f*uck With You”- to name a few. Another nice addition to this song is the use of Mary J Blige. Who chimes in midway through lending her unique style, as only she can. This song, along with the video reminds us of days when seeing boomboxes on the street was the norm and white adidas and jogging suits were a must have. As for the title’s meaning, it is obvious when listening to the lyrics in the very beginning. Lil Mama, who’s most recent fame came when she starred as Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes in VH1’s “Crazy,Sexy,Cool-The TLC Story”, is sure to get as much attention from this one as did with her first release “Lip Gloss” back in 2007.
