SUPPORTING OUR KIDS TODAY TO ENSURE A SUCCESSFUL FUTURE TOMORROW

August 28, 2015, Chicago, IL -For the last three years, The John Lomax Foundation, owner & operator of Red Kiva Princess Lomax has given away book bags to the neighborhood kids of Englewood. Once again, we will be providing backpacks full of all the necessary supplies, so the children’s only concern will be concentrating on getting good grades. This will be the 2nd year that it will take place at Sherman Park located at 1301 W.52nd St, But new this year, the 9th district caps, along with Alderman Willie Cochran as well as the directors at Sherman Park will join us with our event.

Unfortunately, school supplies are a luxury that many students and their families simply can not afford.There is a basic necessity that needs to be filled for school children in neighborhoods like Englewood. We hope to bring attention and awareness of these needs, so that we can find ways to funnel resources to this community and do our part to help our kids feel confident and ready on the first day of school and throughout the year.
