WGCI Big Jam 2015
WGCI was host of the annual Big Jam Concert and the United Center was filled to capacity with fans waiting to see some of their favorite artists hit the stage. This year' show featured performances by Kendrick Lamar, Future, Meek Mill, Omarion, Monica, Rae Sremmur. Chicago's very own also showed up- Lil Durk, Vin Mena, Twista, Doe or Die, Crucial Conflict and special guest Yazz from Empire. As the crowd waited anxiously, Monica blessed the stage with some 90’s hits like “Angle of Mine” and “The Boy is Mine”, and gave us a taste of her upcoming album, which is set to debut this December. Future had the crowd going as his DJ Esco came out and got the crowd pumped before he hit the stage with songs from DS2- “Commas”, " Sisters" and "Where Ya At." Dej Loaf did a special performance with Lil Durk “What You Do To Me” which kept the crowd wondering about their relationship. These two fellas got the crowed hyped as they came out to “Comer Get Her." Rae Sremmurd had us on our feet all nightt with “No Type," "Throw Sum Mo, “ No Flex Zone." Tthey kept the crowd on edge even reminding us to get out and vote and not to vote for Trump with “Up Like Trump”. Empire Hakeem better known as Yazz hit the stage with hits from Empire “Drip Drop” and plenty more. While all the performances where amazing, we cant forget the anticipation for Meek Mill. He paid a special tribute to the youth that have died to gun violence- even his protégé Lil Snoop. He performed some of his hits like "House Party" and "All Eyes On You." I can honestly say WGCI out did themselves with Big Jam this year, and cant wait to see what they
have in store next year.
