Hip Hop & Halloween
This year Halloween has some heavy hip hop influences. Steering away from the classic ghost and ghoul costumes, trick or treaters of all ages could be seen mimicking some of hip hops favorites. Music media and specifically main stream hip hop artist have always been fashion forward, making signature statement pieces. From Flavor Flav and the big clock necklaces to Future and his big hats, urban musicians have a style that is like no other. Which is why you can guess why so many who participated in Halloween festivities wanted to embrace the culture for a night of fun. This year on social media such thousands uploaded mimic iced outfits of rap legends like Easy E and even Drake with his new beard. Characters from famous hood classics such as "Don't Be A Menace" and "Friday" were also found everywhere this year. The notorious bffs from "Set it Off" were a popular costume as well. Outside of fans dressing up, the celebrities of hip hop also stepped it up this year for Halloween. Hip Hop's first family Beyoncé and Jay Z were the king and queen of Zumunda from the Eddie Murphy classic "Coming To America," with Blue Ivy as the infamous "Queen to be". Fabulous and his family slay Halloween every year, this one being no different, they dressed up as the cartoon sitcom family The Simpsons. 2015 Halloween was really represented by the hip hop culture.
