Earlier today, in Los Angeles, a hearing took place where the judge ruled that the transcripts of the jury will remain sealed; for now. Billboard reports that Superior Court Judge: Robert J. Perry ordered that all documents remain sealed for a minimum of three more weeks. Throughout these three weeks, the lawyer of the defendant: Eric Holder will have the opportunity to create a valid argument that supports why the transcripts should be kept secret.
On, May 9, the jury made an indictment that charged Eric with the murder of Nipsey Hussle. Holder denied the allegations.
Lowyn Young, Holder's lawyer, formerly argued that the release of the transcripts could cause the public to put Holder in a prejudice, unfair position. Doing so could taint future jurors and Young says she has yet to receive access to the evidence
A lawyer from The Los Angeles Times opposed the motion and argued for transcripts to be released to the public immediately.
