Madame Tussands Las Vegas Unveils New Aaliyah Wax Figure
Some people would say it's about time that the Princess of R&B was honored with her very own wax figure. We lost the beautiful songstress almost 18 years ago due to a tragic plane crash. The lost is still felt by many people around the world, as she was and is loved by so many. On August 21, Madame Tussands Las Vegas unveiled Aaliyah's wax figure. Her brother, Rashad Haughton was there at the unveiling to present Aaliyah's wax figure to all who could be in attendance. The unveiling was also live streamed via the AaliyahApp Instagram. He also played an intricate role in the look of the wax figure.
Aaliyah's wax figure look was based on the 2000 music video, "Try Again" from the movie soundtrack, "Romeo Must Die." Aaliyah sports black leather pants, with a silver studded choker, bra, and belt. This iconic look has actually become, and still is to this day, a very popular Halloween costume. Job well done on the wax figure, as they even have the tattoos identical to those of Aaliyah.
Even though Aaliyah isn't here physically, she lives on and forever through her fans and her music. She will continue to be remembered and with her wax figure now in Madame Tussands Las Vegas, fans can honor her and reflect on how the lovely Aaliyah and her music impacted their lives.
