DaBaby Drops New Album "Kirk"
DaBaby releases his sophomoric album "Kirk" just months after his "Baby On Baby" album. In an interview with @oldmanebro, Dababy explains why he named his album "Kirk". "Last name you know, it hold big weight. You know what I mean. We dedicating this one to pops, who is, you know is real real, too real." The Charlotte rapper has several other artists featured on new album including Migos, Gucci Mane, Chance the Rapper, Nicki Minaj, Moneybagg Yo, and more.
Also in his interview with @oldmanebro, Dababy goes into how he balances mainstream music and trill lyrical music. He uses J.Cole and Kendrick Lamar as examples of two artists who are lyrically inclined. Dababy says he understands exactly where they're coming from and can definitely grasp the meaning of the words in their song. This interview shows lets us know that Dababy can not only make club bangers, but he also can go the extra mile to make his words impactful and knowledgeable. He also elaborates on how he heard the news about the death of his father and how it affected him.
Dababy doesn't disappoint with his new album. The first track, "Intro" goes hard and gives leeway to the caliber of the album.
"Kirk" was released on September 27 and is available on all platforms.
