History was made over this past weekend as Simone Biles dominated in gymnastics, Coco Gauf in tennis, and Brigid Kosgei in running. These black female athletes continue to set the bar for perfection in the world of sports.

Simone Bile is now considered the G.O.A.T. (greatest of all time). She won her 25th medal in Worlds this past Sunday in Germany in the individual floor and balance beam competitions. NBC news calls her the most decorated gymnast of all time.

According to the New York Times, Atlanta's own Coco Gauf is the youngest wta singles champion since Nicole Vaidisova in 2004. Gauff beat Jelena Ostapenko in the Upper Austria Ladies Linz.

In the Chicago Marathon, Kenya native Brigid Kosgei broke the world record, finishing the 26.2 mile race at 2 hours, 14 minutes, and 4 seconds. This was 81 seconds faster than the previous world record holder, Paula Radcliffe.
