T.I. Discusses Taking Daughter To Her Annual Womanly Check-Ups
We all know T.I. is known for being very blunt and straight to the point, regardless of the situation. Well in this situation, it's regarding his 18-year-old daughter Deyjah Harris.
In a podcast interview earlier this week hosted by model Nazanin Mandi and makeup artist Nadia Moham called "Ladies Like Us", T.I. was asked if he'd had the "talk" with his daughter, to which he replied, "Not only have we had the conversation. We have yearly trips to the gynecologist to check her hymen." The thread below also shows T.I.'s take on his sons having sex versus his daughters having sex.
People on social media are really in a frenzy about this topic. On one hand you have people saying how much of a stand-up and involved father he is, then on the other hand, people are saying that this is such an invasion of privacy and how he must've embarrassed his daughter by speaking publicly on the subject. Then you have some people saying it's just plain weird and disgusting.
Even Planned Parenthood chimed in with a series of tweets on the matter of virginity and what the hymen is:
It's unclear how Deyjah feels about her dad being so candid, but social media posts show Deyjah liking posts opposing her father's comments.

If the mom, dad, and child (especially a child of decision making age regarding their bodies) have an understanding of the happenings in the family and everyone is in agreeance, then that's just what it is, as the dynamics of that family. But if everyone isn't in agreeance, then perhaps another discussion needs to be had. Either way, if it were my dad, I would not want him broadcasting such personal business.
