Jay-Z Host Shawn Carter Foundation Gala
If the Rolex invites weren't enough, wait until you find out how much Jay-Z is projected to raise at his gala this weekend.
This weekend, Jay-Z and the most important individuals in pop culture will attend his annual Shawn Carter Foundation gala at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida. If anyone knows how to put on a gala, it's Jay-Z. From the invites to the performances to the theme, everything is nothing less than perfect. A few weeks before the gala, the foundation's Twitter account releases a statement, "Excited to announce 15X Grammy Award winning icon @AliciaKeys for an exclusive, one-night only performance on November 16th to benefit the Shawn Carter Foundation. The @hardrockholly pre-sale starts tomorrow, October 4 at 10 am ET, followed by the public on-sale on Saturday."
This year, this gala's theme is casino. High-rollers only. All of the proceeds will go to various organizations that provide low-income students with scholarships, college workshops, study abroad opportunities and more.
